Rival network ridicules Channel Seven sting on Delhi security

Melbourne, Sep 29 (India Report)
Australian network ABC TV&aposs Media Watch has dismissed as"laughable"a Channel Seven sting operation on the security lapses in Delhi ahead of the Commonwealth Games and the two rival networks are now set for a legal showdown on the matter.
In a sting operation, Seven Network reporter Mike Duffy was shown passing through unchecked at a security post in one of the CWG venues with a detonation unit in his suitcase but ABC said the report was a"shocking beat-up".
"Well, laughable is how I&aposd describe Duffy&aposs report. Except that it&aposs far more serious, because so many people round the world believed he was fair dinkum,"Media Watch host Paul Barry said while analysing the report.
A furious Duffy hit back saying that he would be suing ABC TV&aposs Media Watch for defamation.
In his analysis of Duffy&aposs report, Barry said,"his suitcase was empty anyway when he walked into the stadium area that was not yet in lockdown."
Barry was dismissive of the threat of a lawsuit from the Seven network.
"I&aposd be very surprised if they take action, but if they do I&aposll be happy to see them in court,"he told&aposThe Australian&apos.
